Does being famous lead to trouble?

A few hours ago i was watching a program on TV about famous people and how their lives change now that they are in the spot light. Some lead to death, time in jail or just lost in their minds.When you think of famous people you think of Hollywood. Ever since the late 1950s drugs was a big issue with actors and entertainers. It was the "in" things to do. So I think to myself, why drugs? You have all this success and you want to screw it up by smoking weed or doing marijuana.I don't see that point.In my latest blog I wrote about why celebrities get special treatments. I'm writing bout this because I think "celebrities" are a big influence in kids today.We look up to them. McKenzie Phillips is a good example of experience drugs. She said that "God, is this the day you take me". Today she is clean an sober.But back then her fame was at the top and I guess to celebrate her success.Alcohol was also a major issue.A SNL start Chris Farlley died from a overdose. Close friends of the start said he was a heavy drinker. I think that once you are in the spotlight you have to have that image of always being perfect and there are days where you say screw it and just let loose.Also, your around a different zone then your hometown feeling is gone.They get so caught up with it that I feel they forget where they came from.For instance Miley Cyrus has been in the news ever since Hannah Montana was the "it" show.She was this sweet girl who go too much fame too quickly.Headlines flew when a cover shot of her wearing a riscay cloth. I feel that it was inapropreate. The press makes it worse.It leads them to their breaking points sometimes. No wonder why young celebs are in the news a lot. So to answer my question. Yes, I do think that being famous does lead you to trouble. You get lost in your mind.You may be famous but that doent mean you should get into trouble beacuse you have a lable.

Reality Shows: Fake or Real?

Reality Shows:fake or real? That's what I ask myself when reality shows are beaming on my t.v screen.Even though the people say that everything is real and it's taped at that moment and there were no double takes.Most shows that I watch are reality t.v. My mom always tells me that "it's fake and a waist of time.Nothing is real in reality t.v". But I disagree sometimes because the situations that happen in the shows are real and the situations are real and people go through it. For a couple of weeks now a lot of drama has come along with the stars of TLC's Jon and Kate plus 8. If you have never heard of it its about two parents taking care of their eight children under that age of ten. They have two sets of sextuplets.Cameras document their lives and catch every bit fight, laughs,kids crying etc. This show is one of the highest raising t.v shows on that program.For a while now the parents of eight children have taken the cover of magazines and have been that main focus on the news. There have been speculations that Jon, the father has been having an affair with a young teacher and Kate, the mom has been having an affair with her bodyguard.I think that this show is not fake.The show is mainly based on the kids and their life raising their children and there daily struggles.Lets face it, its not easy raising eight kids.How do you fake something like that. On the other hand MTV's highest rating show The Hills is a show that I watch once a week. I believe that this show is fake in certain situations.You can tell that certain things are fake.The stuff that happens on the show had different situations then stuff in the tabloids.So, I think that certain reality shows are fake and some are real.

Mariotto di Bigio

When I was browsing through google to get pictures for a school project, a interesting picture caught my eye.The painting is called The Visitation by Mariotto di Bigio. He was a oil painter in the Renaissance. The reason why this painting caught my eye is because just the way the people are positioned.Both women are wearing long pieces of cloth and their faces are very close.The woman on the right seems to be poor and the woman the the left seems to be wealthy. During the Renaissance people relied on the church for guidance. The way he painted this was in a way as though you were right there.The lack of details and angles give you a bettter understanding of the paintin and the time period. For instance the arc behind them has such detailed work.Its almost hard to belive that this painting was made from a oil painter.Another instant that I had was also the way they dressed but the backround is mostly landscape. You can tell that in this time it was not in this century.Wikipedia said that Bigios paintings "bear the imprint a sence of volume in space and perspective". I agree. This painting was Mariottos masterpiece that will show its amazing detailed and landscape. There is just something about it that amazes me.

Technology takes over the world

What would you be doing right now if you weren't sitting in front of a computer screen right now? You might be playing outside with friends enjoying the fresh air. For some kids/teens in the 50s that was what their life on a day to day basis. They didn't have the many privileges as us teen have today. The thing close to a computer was type writer and look at us now.We have nice computers with a decent size screen and we can blast music whenever we want, and now we can take our computers where ever we go with the laptops.When technology first started entering society people were amazed that they just wanted more. Today, "technology" is our life basicaly.You see kids with nice and cool cell phones, like the sidkick and the latest "have now" cellphone is the blackberry. Every where you turn you see some kind of new invention. You see people walking in the streets with an ipod.Technology get new a fresher new inventions every year. People have no idea how incredible the new technology is.But, then I also think how it takes over our life. It takes away our knowlege. People cant think for themselves at times.Lets face it. You cant live with them, you cant live without it.Whenever a new invention come out everyone is eager to have it. Ill admit that if I forget my cell phone at home or my ipod I feel like my day is ruinedbecause I dont know what to do.Its an addiction that there is no treatment for it.Even if you try and stay away from the new "must haves" there will always be something new presented to the world.So has tecnology taken over the world? Or is it just a phase that society will never get rid of.But I will admit that tecnology has helped us out in our everyday lives.Like,if we didnt have no transportation how would life still be like.We would still be using horse and buggie around. In a way im thankful for the inventions that have been presented in our world but I do feel it might be going over board.

A Teen Pregnancy..Gone Wrong

Almost every high school student nowadays are thinking about having sex with their boyfriend/girlfriend. Unprotected sex can lead to diseases such as Aids. The main thing that can lead to sex is getting pregnant. There are one million teen pregnancies each year, starting from ages 13-17.This is the highest rate of teen pregnancies.You hear a lot about teen pregnancies and how it affects their lives, their partners lives and their future. Also, there are young teen age girls who want to have babies.On the Tyra Banks show she had young teens and them getting pregnant and who want to get pregnant. That CRAZY. But one story about one teenage girl brought me to tears. In 2006, a 17 year old senior in high school and her boyfriend were having sex and unfortunatly she got pregnant. Now heres the weird part. She kept it a secrect from her family and her boyfriend.The only person who knew was her best friend. This girl was a heavy set , so now one susspected anything. Nine months later she went into labor.Without waking her parents up she took towels, went to the basement and gave birth. When your in the situation your body cant control whats happening. After she gave birth she wrap the baby in a towle. At this point, a first time mom would cry be happy and just enjoy motherhood. But, thats not what she was thinking. Next to her was a knife that she took from the kitchen and stabbed the infant child more than 130 times.Ater that she placed the deceased body in a garbage pale.Afterwards she called her friend and told her what had happend and what she's done. Her friend was so disterbed and disgusted at her friend that she called the police. The killer mother got arrested for first degree murder and is now serving her time in prison. I still cant belive that this had happend. I'll confess it was pretty hard to write what had happend.Just thinking about it gives me a knot in my stomach. A reporter said that some pregnate girls dont know what to do and dont want to face motherhood so they give up on them or kill. I think it is so important to have safe sex. Something like that can change your life completly. Actions lead to consiquenceses and we should take thos actions and deal with it respocibly. This is a topic that every high school in America should know about.

Obsessed

Over the weekend I went to the movies with my cousin to see Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles. This movie you definantly see Beyonce as an actress rather than a singer or a designer. I was amazed how focused she was and how powering she was. There were a few things that surpprised me in the movie and the scenes she played in. In the movie Shannon played by Beyonce, her husband Dereck and their young son start their new life in a new house. Her husband is a very sucessful man and a good care giver. One day a young attractive young womon was working at the office.She was a temp.Over the time she is working there as his secritary, she developes a huge crush on Beyonces husband well.. more like the start to her obsession. Hints the title. This women is throwing herself at him and flirting with him even in front of his wife. Lisa, who was the temp continuously seduces him. When Derick tries to explain that there is no future and that he has no desire to start a realtionship with her.Thats when things started to turn. Her obsession went way over board and she was sabitoshing his marraige. Shannon is not about to let Lisa destroy her perfect marraige with Derick.Or did Lisa already accomplish that? So much is holding me back from telling you guys what happends in this movie. This movie will deffinately have both eyes glued to the screan. This movie was worth spending the money. This movie is not something that writters came up with. Situations like this happends offten in real life. Has Lisa won and got Derick? What happend to Shannon? Ive alredy seen the movie so its up to you to watch and find out. I have more respect for Beyonce as an actress. You wont be dissapoited.Trust me.

Money going to waist

As everyone know our country is not in the best position.We are in a recession. As I was channel surfing the other night I watched Deal or no Deal. If you never hear of this popular game show where regular people take chances to win the big bucks. The contestant walked away with a good pile of cash, and I was just thinking if this country is going through this recession why just give money away to make entertainment.Most of the game shows today all include wining money. Another popular show is "Who wants to be a millionaire". A few players have won the million bucks. I feel that if this country is not doing so good why should money that are placed fro t.v shows be given to people who are doing well with money and have a good job rather than to the father who got layed off and cant bring home the check.It makes no sense to me.I understand that its entertain to watch and people get anxious.But where does that money come from?Money should not just be given to individuals who put themselves on t.v and try to win money.What happends to the people who need it? Will Obama promises work and get this country back to number one?Will he bring in more money? Who knows. I think that those question should be questioned in out heads. I wonder if these game shows would stop would it make some what of a difference? Hopefully in the future this country can be restored to the most powerful country in the world.

Little Peopel Big World

One of the shows that I watch on Monday night at 8 on TLC is Little People Big World.The show is about two dwarf parents Matt, Amy raising their four children on their farm in Oregon. The oldest of the kids are twins Jeremy and Zach 19..but one is average size and the other one is int.Their two other kids Molly 16, Jacob 13 are average height.Basicall the show is about some of the struggles they have and that they are just like everyone else.The can do the same things as average size people but they do it in a different way. One episode Matt, was designing special equipment for dwarf when they stay at a hotel or any local areas.The world is not based on little people and their need.Most of the stuff around of society is on average size people.In the hotels Matt, created a special stool that they can step on and reach places.Befor I started watchin this show I never really understood how different and challenging life is for them.When they drive a a car they have to use a spacial pedale that they screw on the pedal of the car.This makes it easier to drive. People often look a little people as othing.They just look down and stare.One thing that suprised me is they have little people conventions, where little peoopel from all over America come togetehr and do activities and just interact with other little peopel.I was amazed how many little people are out there.When I watch this show it gave me a different perspective on the world and how lucky I am.Now that I have a better understanding of little people, It upsets me when people make fun of them.Everyone is equal.It doesnt matter what size height they are or if they look differnt that other people that walk the streets. In a way I feel colse to the people on the show because, you can get attatch to these people.They are a kid, loveing an tightnest family.If people can look besides that fact they some people are different, the world would be a better place.I also hope that in local places especiall in hotels that it can make it more comfortable for their stay.Belive me when I say that you will not regret watching this family on their day to day life.

Why should celebrities get the special treatments?

Being a celebrity is something that everyone would want to be.To have one day in their shoes.All that money,cars,mansions,fabulous clothes etc. People only dream to live their dream. Being a celebrity definitely has it's advantages.When I watch the new about these famous people I see them going into clubs for free, skipping the line and also seeing underage celebrities going into bars.I don't know about you, but Its not possible to get in a club if you live in an apartment or whatever would have definitely not have gotten in. "Celebrity" is a stereotype word for a free ride.Why should people with money go into restaurants and other local areas and sometimes not even pay?, because the owner wants them to come more often or tell their celebrity friends to come for a nice meal or to party it up with Paris Hilton.Young celebrities today, have been on out television screens and magazines a lot, and mostly they got in trouble.Is it to get attention or more room on next weeks Daily News.For instance Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Kloe Kardashian, Nicole Richie, and all those other celebrities that have been on the other side of jail bars. Most of those celebrities got in trouble with a D.U.I and sometimes refuse to take a breath test.Paris Hilton got only a few days in jail and later on she got three moths in prison and got out early.Nicole Richie got only three hours for driving on the wrong side of the road.Really? That's crazy.In every state in the U.S has different laws with a D.U.I. In Oregon, the driver can face a licence suspension for 90 if refusing to take a breath or drug test.In California, most of the D.U.I are from drunk driving. They have 10 days after their D.U.I to make a appointmet with the judge.My point is, why should celebrities get the special treatments. We are all human and celebrity or not we should all get the same punishment as a average person who did the same crime.Why should us, as Americans have different laws and regulations just because one has the power and the others might have no say.

Frida Kahlo ,was a women who had many troubles and heartaches throughout her life. It all started with a bus accident that left her with medical problems.But the accident didnt not stop her at all at the goals and passions for art, and was to be a painter.When she was ready to start to make her dreams come true, the brust and paint made its magic.She wanted to have a meaning to every master piece she created and wanted the world to know. Things seem to be going perfect until she thought she met the man of her "dreams".Things were good for a while when she finds out that he has been cheating on her with more than one womon.Frida found it had to let go.As the movie goes on she realizes that he will never be faithful to her.This was a perfect time to start painting again and not have any distractions. Frida also experienced her sexuality in the movie.In the movie, they describe Frida and as a strong womon who knows what she wants in life with her passion for painting.Frida has always been hurt, not physically but mentally.Towards the end of the movie Frida, realizes that the man of her "dreams" was always the one.He stands by her as she gets very sick. You can tell at the time in her life she was happy, but still had some sadness.Her dream come true when all of her arts of work were being displayed in front of people. As she is there on her deathbed she finally fufilled a dream of hers. Okay, so I've been talking about her love and passion for art through out the movie, but she was a women full of strength.And when she has her up's and down's she always goes back to the man who has her heart. I enjoyed watching this movie ann im sure you will as well. The movie mad me understand Frida, not as a painter but as a person and the meaning of her works. I garentee for you to go to an art museam and look the painting that showed all of her hurt.

When I fist read this poem, I thought about the paintings we went over in class and how the artist just created what they wanted and just went with what right with them and gave a message.It may not make since when you fist realize but that's what I thought when I read this poem. Time to leave the nest?

Have you ever heard the phrase "Time to leave the nest". Well , in every teenage persons life we, as teenagers might find it hard to be out on our own and away from having a roof over our heads, a hot meal every night. But, for some teenagers who are ready to face the real world and may find it easy to leave on their own, knowing what their parents have taught them about responsibilities. When we graduate high school its like a golden ticket to the real world. To go out there and start new things and meet new people and take what our parents and teachers have taught us.Even if it's a story about their experience can have some what of an impact on someone. Going out and starting a new life can be scary. "Time to leave the nest" don't always mean leaving your home or loved ones, but it could also reflect on leaving high school and saying good bye to friends who you have shared a close bond for four years. Some students could find it hard to leave high school because they get so comfortable that they don't want to leave. Even though I still have another year in high school, I think about graduating and how my life is going to change once I go to college. Just thinking about leaving high school is a little scary because I ask my self sometimes if I ever will be ready. But something deep inside me says's that everything will be okay. I think that every one can relate because thousands of teenagers are graduating and going off to college, or getting your fist apartment, or just starting off their careers. Starting off new can be challenging, but, in one way or another we have to spread our wings and go out and experience the world and what it has to offer us.

Changeling the movie starring Angelina Joli, in her best acting role yet. This drama movie will leave you thinking with suspense. Based on a true story, the movie begins in 1928 in Los Angles as a young single mother goes off to work and when she return her young son is no where to be found. After long hours of searching for her son she called the police for help and started their search. After a long five month of searching, the police reunited mother and son.But there was a problem. The boy that was returned to her was not her son, he was an imposture. She returnes to the police inferring that the boy that they claimed was her son was not. After long arguments with the police and insuring her that her son is not missing and his home safe, she turned to the media, desperate to find her son... her real son. The police were not grateful for her decisions to involve the media. They claimed that she was a unfit mother and was in denial. All her emotions and fiat that he son is still out there lead the police no choice then to put her in "the nut house". Well I'm not going to tell you what happens next because when I was watching this movie my jaw was to the floor. You can feel what that character was feeling at that moment and it kept me thinking what had happened and what is going to happen.Your thinking is her son still alive or will she have to live with the lost of her son. As I was watching the movie with my mom and my friend, I took a glance at the back of the DVD case and I read that Angelina Joli was nominated for a Oscar.She deserves it.This is movie will not leave you disappointed and I recommend this film to everyone.

Giving up a baby can be one of the most difficult thing that a women can face. Sometimes its a woman's choice to get rid of a baby knowing how it was conceived.When you look at this person that you created,your feeling are fill with over joy.But nothing can take away the mothers feelings knowing that this baby wasn't planned it was forced knowing nothing can prevent it.If you know deep inside that you cant deal knowing that its a reminder of the tragedy that you went through then yes, I'm pro-choice.Its your body and you have the right to do what you feel is right.Sure, millions of unborn babies are killed everyday but there is nothing to stop it.Yes, your taking a innocent babies life but, when going through an abortion no one comes out saying "Yes its finally over , lets celebrate".Yes, it is a sad thing but there is nothing to prevent it from happening.
